Château de Fosse-Sèche is a winery standing on a property where there were already vineyards in the thirteenth century. In 1996 the winery was bought by a family and is run by two twins and their partners. The vineyards are farmed organically and biodynamically, they affirm a great respect for nature and seek to preserve the biodiversity of their terroir.
Vines are 10 to 50 years old. The average yield is very low, at 19 hectolitres per hectare, which ensures a balanced grape. The vineyards are in plots with soil that originated in the Jurassic period, formed with gravels bound together by a slightly clayey soil.
Aged on lees for 21 months in cement tanks. It has a ageing potential of about ten years.
